January 13, 2017 The OSCE Chairmanship is held for one calendar year by the OSCE participating State designated as such by a decision of the Ministerial Council. The function of the Chairperson-in-Office (CiO) is exercised by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of that State. Austria has defined the priorities for its Chairmanship of the OSCE 2017 in response to the current threats and challenges in the OSCE area: Contributing towards defusing existing conflicts, Joining forces in fighting radicalization and violent extremism and Re-establishing trust and confidence.
January 5, 2017 For many years the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the OSCE contributed financially to OSCE(-related) projects. We will continue to do so through the delegated Human Rights Fund Programme. This programme is aimed at deepening the strong ties between the Netherlands and OSCE and to further promote the Netherlands’ priorities within the OSCE, mainly focusing on human rights and fundamental freedoms. We welcome new initiatives and would like to invite you to send us your project proposal before 25 February 2017.
